Grant Park - Monday, November 25, 2013 HOLIDAY EVENTS: There will be two road races this week and there will be traffic interruptions. On Thursdaymorning the Atlanta half-marathon will block part of Boulevard from Auburn Ave south and then west along Memorial Drive. On Saturday there will be a race mostly in Oakland cemetery but part of MLK Drive at Oakland Ave west to Grant Street will be blocked. There continue to be overnight vehicle larcenies particularly on the west side of the neighborhood. REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR VEHICLE CLEAN. If you will have guests visiting here for the holiday, remind them as well. Call 911 if you see any suspicious persons checking out cars. Last week a neighbor on Grant Street called 911 when he saw teenage girls getting into an unlocked car. GPSP will add additional holiday patrol hours with the monies we raised at the Halloween festival. Our goal is to add one more weekday night time patrol for the winter season.
