IMPORTANT BURGLARY ALERT
Unfortunately Grant Park and Ormewood Park have had burglaries in the past few days. We made it through about 8 weeks in April and May without any home burglaries in the Grant Park neighborhood.
The most recent here in Grant Park was this afternoon between 2 and 5. This was on Robinson just off Boulevard. There was also a burglary on Mead just off Boulevard on Saturday at about 1:30PM. In Ormewood yesterday there were two burglaries at mid-day. Front or rear doors are kicked in and electronics are taken.
LT Iosty reports a lookout for a maroon Jeep, possibly Wrangler, with a tan or brown top and wide nobby tires. No tag number on this Jeep. APD is canvassing the area for any video in order to identify suspects or any other vehicles.
Make sure to activate alarms and please call 911 if you see vehicles cruising around the neighborhood.
GPSP officers were patrolling this afternoon but at this most recent burglary there was not an alarm system.
